Everything needed to offer professional laser teeth whitening services.
What you will be able to do.
- Determine teeth types and shades, understand how laser whitening works, and apply laser technology
- Understand what dentists and non-dentists are permitted to do in relevant jurisdictions
- Apply sanitation and disinfection methods in a clinical setting
- Understand basic teeth biology and anatomy
- Explain teeth rejuvenation concepts and outcomes
- Perform teeth pigmentation reduction treatments
- Perform the whitening procedure successfully on live models
- Describe and understand laser history and operating principles
- Explain the legality of the teeth whitening business in BC
- Describe pre and post-laser treatment protocols
- Perform patient observation on the model
- Perform consultation and collect medical information from the model
- Critically analyze equipment testing and maintenance requirements
How to qualify.
- Minimum age: completed grade 12 or be a minimum of 19 years of age
- Photo ID required (Driver's License, Passport, or BCID)
- Completed Student Enrolment Contract before application is processed
This is a Class B program — no prior experience or prerequisite program is required. Ashford Career College nor the student applicant may waive the admission requirements.
Start Dates
Year-round enrollment. Begin once registration and payment are complete. Spots are limited and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
