Advanced Program — Class A

Advanced Laser Program

A 100-hour advanced certification in IPL, Diode, ND-YAG, CO2 Fractional, and Laser Teeth Whitening — building on a foundational laser technician credential.

Class A — Prerequisite Required

Master advanced laser technologies.

This advanced hands-on training program teaches students to critically analyze how lasers work, including the physics of lasers: IPL, CO2 Fractional, Diode, Q-Switch ND-YAG (picosure, picosecond, picowave), and teeth whitening. Advanced theoretical concepts of anatomy, physiology, parameters for permanent hair reduction, photo facial, vascular and pigmented lesions, and tattoo removal are an essential part of the program.

Curriculum

Course breakdown.

Five laser modalities, each covered in 20 dedicated hands-on hours.

Laser IPL — 20 hours Laser Diode — 20 hours Laser ND-YAG — 20 hours Laser Teeth Whitening — 20 hours Laser CO2 Fractional — 20 hours
Learning Objectives

What you will be able to do.

  • Apply foundational laser principles and safety protocols in simulated clinical scenarios
  • Articulate the steps, purpose, and safety considerations for IPL, diode, ND-YAG, CO2, and teeth whitening treatments
  • Explain the mechanisms and expected outcomes of skin tightening, pigmentation removal, spider vein removal, and hair removal
  • Integrate theoretical knowledge of laser physics (wavelength, energy settings) into hands-on practice with laser equipment
  • Analyze and adjust laser settings (wavelength, pulse duration, spot size, energy) for optimal efficacy and patient safety for each device
  • Conduct comprehensive client consultations, including medical history review, treatment planning, and informed consent
  • Execute advanced laser treatments on clients, demonstrating precision and adherence to safety protocols
  • Implement rigorous sanitation and disinfectant procedures to maintain a sterile clinical environment
  • Explain physiological responses to laser treatments and how they influence the healing process and treatment outcomes over time
